Dr check ups!

We had our yearly check ups on Wednesday! The kids did so great! They had so much fun peeing in a cup, getting weighed and measured and getting stickers from the doctor! Something new this time was getting their blood pressure! It was so funny watching their little arms get squeezed and their reactions! Something we did not like was the dreaded finger prick! Jonas cried and tinzley did fine... Until she realized Jonas was crying! So silly!!

Struggles of every mother

Let me say this... I LOVE my kids... MOST of the time ;)
So summer is in session and my kids are driving me NUTS!  They are fighting, whining, complaining, asking for this and that all day long.  I cook for them, clean up after them, take them to the pool, take them to the library, make snacks, get them drinks...and it never seems like enough!  Jonas has developed a major attitude where he does not listen and Tinzley has definitely hit the fit throwing threes as they are known in our house!  I feel like I am going crazy sometimes.  I feel like nothing i do is good enough and that I am not being heard. 
I have just been having a rough couple of weeks.  I am coming down really hard on myself and I am getting the feeling my kids are picking up on it.  Kids seems to know when you are not yourself or when something is up and they either are sweet to you or they seem to find the things that get under your skin and make you even more crazy!  My children seem to be doing the second one.  I am trying to be patient, I am trying to read my bible more, I am trying to take time to relax...  I feel satan winning sometimes.  After the past year and a half I just get the feeling like satan is there and when he is not and he is circling right now. 
School ending was suppose to help me relax to give me time with the kids, to get pool time, to get scrapbooking done, to have time to read and focus on cooking, and saving money, all the stuff that gets put off because work gets in the way.
So I dont know what I am trying to say or prove but I guess I am trying to figure out what is going on with me and writing it out was something that I had not tried.
I feel like I am having out of body experiences... I get around a group of people that I dont know or I am not completely comfortable with and I clam up.  I have nothing to say, nothing I want to say, I just want to move out of there and be somewhere else.  I have never been a person that doesnt know what to say or a person who feels uncomfortable in those types of situations.  I get the overwhelming feeling of needing to be home, needing to be alone, feeling uncomfortable.  I dont know who to talk to or what to even say.  I dont feel like there is anyone out there who will understand or know what I am going through. 
I just feel like everything I have done and been through has made me feel like I am half a person.  I dont like talking about all of the hurt, the pain, and the uncomfortable things I feel because I dont want pity, I dont want people to try to understand what I am going through because no one should have to feel this way, or go through this.  I just keep hoping something positive will come out of it and God is not done with me yet.  I hope He knows how much I am trying and how much I truly want to make this life work.  I want to do all that I am suppose to, and to live the life He wants for me. 

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we headed over to Pontotoc Mississippi to visit our good friends, The Mills Family!  It is always a good time!  We got there Friday night and the house was in full swing.  The kids were instantly playing, laughing, and having so much fun!   We got to bed around 11 or 12! 
On Saturday we all headed over to Tupelo to watch Judith play in a soccer tournament!  It was so much fun to watch her play and to hang out with everyone outside!  It also was SOOO hot!!  We were all sweating and hot but still enjoyed being together.  Judith's team ended up losing thier first game and winning the second!  We headed over to their house that afternoon and played lots of games including kickball... I am not a fan of that game at all but did better as an adult than I ever did as a kid!  We had so much fun singing and dancing to Just Dance 3!
On Sunday we got up and headed over to church, ate lunch and did some more singing, dancing, playing, and puzzle building!

Swim Lessons

The kids are taking swim lessons at the YMCA and we LOVE it!  They love it and it is so much fun to watch!

Graduation

Jonas is done with school!  Just kidding!  He is DONE with preschool!  He may be in for a surprise in the fall when he thinks he is headed off to college!  I kid but seriously he did have a little graduation from 4k and he did pretty well... for Jonas!  hehe

He LOVES singing and getting in front of people... right?  that sounds just like him.  Okay he doesnt but he put the cap and gown on and stood up there and attempted to try and NOT smile but with his silly mom he just could not get away with it!  Here are some pics from his BIG day :)

Hello Kitty Birthday Party

TInzley had a Hello Kitty birthday party!  NO surprise!
Here are some pics

She had some friends from school over and we had cake, punch, fruit, and chips.  She opened gifts and after the party we headed over to build a bear to build Hello Kitty! :)  Jonas was an EXCELLENT big brother!  He did not whine or complain the entire week of her birthday about anything she did or got!  He really was a trooper with all the Hello Kitty everywhere!  He even was nice about the build a bear which he himself has never done!  She had a great party and a great day! :)

Tinzley turns 3

You finally moved out of your crib and sleep in a big bed with Jonas!  You get the bottom bunk and he gets the top!
You LOVE to sing!  My favorites are Twinkle twinkle, Let the bodies Hit the floor, Leprechan song from school, Tomorrow from Annie, and Let's set the world on Fiiirrree (dont know actual name)
You have a very strong opinion on what you wear.  You would wear a skirt everyday if I let you! 
You also know what you want and if you dont get it we will hear about it.
Most of the time you are sweet and such a goof ball!
You like to go around saying you are pretty, which you are :)

I love your little personality!  I hope you can hang on to it an dkeep the confidence you have for as long as you can!   I am sorry I was not always there for you when I should have been but you do not seem to have held that against me or let it interfere with our relationship at all.  You seem to always prefer me which I love and hate all at the same time.  :)  I am thankful everyday that I get to spend time with you because you always make me smile or laugh.  Keep singing and dancing!

Easter

Spring Break

So for spring break we headed out west!  We went out to Arizona to visit my brother David and his family.  We thought well we just have not driven enough to get out to Arizona lets head to California as well!  So yes we went to Arizona and California over spring break.  Lots of driving but SO worth it!  The kids have both mentioned since they want to go back! ha not any time soon kiddos!
The kids had so much fun hanging with their cousins and aunt and uncle. 
We went to Sea World in San Diego and JOnas LOVED it!  We got to see the dolphin show and of course Shamu!  We did a behind the scenes tour of the rescue animals and we got to see the pregnant dolphins.  They swim around in their own tank with a pod of other dolphins.  It was so neat to see them up close and to see all the work they do behind the scenes to help animals that have been abandoned or hurt.  I wish I had pics from Sea World... which I do but on my ipod!  I will have to upload them from that or you can hop on over to facebook and check them out there!  We had such a great time in Arizona and California!  We love getting to spend time with family and get to see a totally different part of the United States! 
We also spent some time on the beach and saw the pacific ocean.  There were some seals just laying out enjoying the beach as well.  That was definitely a different experience!

TIME TO CATCH UP!!!!

Okay so the camera broke and I just did not get on here and post like I should have!  LOTS has happened between I think March and now!
Spring Break, Mother's Day, Tinzley's third birthday, swim lessons, graduation for Jonas, end of the year!  All kinds of things! 
So I will try my best to get you all caught up on our bust crazy life we lead! 
Tom and I are doing good!  Every day is different and comes with its new and sometimes exciting sometimes hard challenges!  Money seems to ALWAYS be tight but we get by!  The kids have been SO extremely good lately so we really cant complain too much about them! haha
Work is done for me for the summer at least and I may be working here and there this summer cleaning and babysitting but other than that two big vacations planned and lots of pool time planned! 
We rearranged the house and kids a little in the last week or so.  Tinzley and Jonas are now sharing a room and we finally got Tinzley into a big bed and out of her crib.  Yes, she was in her crib until just a couple of weeks ago!  :)
They have been doing pretty well with sleeping in the same room.  Naps and resttime has been the most difficult but yesterday they both slept and today they are snoozing away as I type so maybe they are staying up all night and sleeping during the day?
A lot is going to be changing around here with Jonas starting big school in the fall.  I am ready and not ready all at the same time!  He is ready which helps me to be ready but it is just going to change everything, his friends, his routine, our routine and I will have to face up to the fact that he is growing up... sigh
I will try to post some pics from all the events I have missed over the past few months.  I LOVE having my camera back and a BIG thank you to a GREAT and GENEROUS friend for my zoom lens!  :)
